In a block warehouse, loading carrier (e. g. stackable pallets or stillages) are stacked on top of each other or next to each other without racks. In doing so, they form article-pure blocks so that direct removal is simplified. Due to the arrangement, such stocking is only useful if LIFO principle is followed.
