Automatic miniload warehouse (AMW)

An automated miniload warehouse describes a warehouse with an automated system for storing small-volume units. These are usually stored in bins or trays, which are then collected on demand by the software-controlled storage and retieval machines or shuttles and brought to the picking station. After the articles are picked, the trays are returned to the original rack.
