An order item is created in the context of an order and delivery process and specifies the sequence of storage locations that need to be initiated first. There are different types of order items:

• Delivery item: availability of the articles
• Order item: number of article
• Open item: subsequent delivery due to lack of stock
• Picking item: order item is divided by picking areas; specifies the number of article to be picked for an order item
