Transport

Transportation is the movement of a certain quantity of goods or freight to a pre-arranged destination and time. In order to achieve this as efficiently as possible, transport logistics must have the following goals in mind: low costs, maximum utilization of cargo space, appropriate identification of the goods and an optimal route. Parallel to external transport, internal transport refers to changes in the location of goods within companies, e.g. from the warehouse to outgoing goods.
