Automated Guided Vehicle

An automated guided vehicle (AGV) is an automatically controlled means of transport with its own traction drive. Consisting of driverless transport vehicles and a guidance and navigation system, it requires no human guidance, as the transport vehicles drive to their destination independently with the aid of cameras, magnets and cables. The system is used for material transport, e.g. for carrying or pulling goods.
