Flammable Liquids Regulations


The Flammable Liquid Regulation is called into action when flammable liquids are stored or filled in operational plants, among other facilities (§1 VbF). The regulation specifies storage bans, storage of multiple liquids and safety cabinets, etc. Liquids are divided into the following hazard classes:

- Hazard class A: “which themselves or their flammable components are not miscible or not miscible in any ratio with water at 15 ºC” (§5 No.1 VbF). - Hazard class B: “which themselves or their flammable components are miscible with water in any ratio at 15 ºC” (§5 No.2 VbF) - Particularly dangerous flammable liquids (§6 VbF)
