Quality inspection

The quality inspection serves to determine the fulfilment of certain conditions for products. Depending on operational requirements, supplier and material quality inspections may be required, ranging from simple type and quantity inspections to comprehensive quality inspections. It is possible to inspect either a sample or the entire lot by sight or in the laboratory. The specifications for sampling (quantity, scope, inspection specifications) are usually managed in the ERP system or in separate quality assurance systems. Quality inspections have an effect on the inventory management in the WMS (e.g. rebooking, relocation of stock, scrapping).
