Deconsolidation

Deconsolidation is the process of breaking down units into smaller units. During deconsolidation for example at incoming goods, the delivered containers are separated to form individual storage units for the various storage zones or warehouse tasks (e.g. depalletising, repacking into storable containers). Partial quantities can be separated for further processes (e.g. quality inspection, Cross-Docking, master data inspection).
