Production supply area

A production supply area serves as an intermediate storage area in production to provide material directly for production on the production line or at the production work station. The production supply area groups together production work stations in the proximity of production storage locations, taking into account the material staging type. Possible material staging types can be, for example, staging for exactly one production order, cross-production order staging or KANBAN supply.
