Label

A label usually contains a bar code that carries the necessary information about the goods. This type of identification helps to determine and track the exact position of, for example, a pallet or a crate, so that logistical activities such as handling or order picking can be carried out more efficiently. A label is mainly found in the form of a barcode, but it does not necessarily have to consist of a barcode or can include more than a barcode. In addition, a distinction is made between several labels, depending on their use, for example:

• article labels
• E-paper labels
