Enterprise resource planning (ERP)

Enterprise Resource Planning is an integrated software system for comprehensive planning and coordination of entrepreneurial, especially business management tasks. An ERP system aims to use the resources available in a company (personnel, operating resources, etc.) as efficiently as possible. In addition to programs for almost all tasks of a company (e.g. finance, accounting, controlling, human resources, product development, production), ERP systems can also include logistical applications (e.g. inventory management, scheduling).
